About
Tanira is 16 years old. In 2010, she left home to come to Insan Permata. Her parents could not afford to raise her and send her to school so one of her relatives who was working at Insan Permata at that time introduced her to the orphanage. She has three siblings. Although her brother came to the orphanage with her, he decided to leave.
At the orphanage Tanira learned many valuable lessons such as learning how to come together with others and pray. She also learned how to forgive one another. In addition, when her father passed away due to illness, all of the other orphans were there to comfort her and be her community.
Before she came to the orphanage, Tanira was Catholic. However, when she entered the orphanage she was able to learn what Christianity was about and decided to become a Christian. Tanira wants to study law in college.
