Mourning to Gladness
Pastor Danny comes from a line of deep spiritual heritage. His grandfather (on the father's side) died as a martyr in North Korea, and his mother is a retired pastor. He studied philosophy at Northwestern University and theology at Trinity Divinity School, Princeton Theological Seminary (M. Div. and Th. M.) and Fuller Seminary (D. Min.). He has been in ministry for over thirty years mostly in the NY/NJ area. He is the founding pastor of Joy Christian Fellowship, which has campuses in NJ and NYC. He has also served in college ministries with KCCC (now Soon Movement) in various campuses in NYC (Columbia U., NYU, Julliard College, City College of NY, John Jay College and Montclair Statement University) and JAMA. He moved to CA in 2017 to plant a new church. He is passionate for the spiritual revival of the United States and missions both local and global with special focus for the poor. He is married to Julie who has passion for children. She is a certified Montessori teacher and received a calling to be a "pastor's wife" before she met Danny! They have three grown children: Teresa, Justin and Joshua.
